... To some extent we succeeded but the 100 yards to Macdonalds proved too much and we succumbed to the temptation of the steak or lobster restaurant. We both had a cocktail, Jo a Gin Sherbet and Nick a Chestnut and Sour. ... good movie. I also watched a documentary called Red Army... about Russian hockey in then past and how it mirrored Russian politics. Really interesting. Flight to Victoria now delayed 25mins. Hmmm.... All good. We got in only a few minutes late. Lots to do when we got home. Goodnight from me at 2am!!!!! Home sweet home... Made even better by Wags greeting us, and Liz greeting us, and Linda getting us home from the airport in our decrepit van that needed a jump ...

... quite a bit of fluffy dust now – the largest fluff balls are about 1cm thick. And I can see some kind of rainwater residue on the roof of the bus stop below. It makes me chuckle. State of the art terminal in the country’s premier airport. And there’s an ugly side to it.

The final task was the make sure our bags were packed (with our new purchases!!), make sure they weren't overweight, and we ended up giving a lady (who was obviously homeless - the rooting through bins was a bit of a giveaway) bottled of water, suncreams etc etc. We stood and took one last look at the sea, then  head off to the airport to start our journey home.   Thankfully, the journey was an easy one as all roads were signposted to the airport.. ...
