... weather took a turn for the worse on the way back so it was a bit choppy. We arrived on phi phi don and had a coffee. Finally a nice tasting one. The coffee in Thailand is awful. Am very much looking forward to some good coffee at home. We went to the bathing beach and spent the afternoon catching sea snails, crabs and tiny fish. It was great fun. ... all the way north and reached the main village. There was not much to see there, so we went back to our place after a walk around a couple of markets.

We could have stayed in this island much longer because it's the one we've liked better so far, but after three or four days in the same place, no matter how great it is, we always feel like moving on. Besides, another island as beautiful as this one was waiting for us.

We woke up early the next morning without a hangover (unlike most of the island as it was full moon last night and a Saturday). We headed for a hike to a lookout over the island that I read was magnificent. We followed the signs through the town and started walking up a long road. Going the right direction only…. Uphill. Randomly we still found signs so we knew we were ok. What I didn't read was that we needed to pay 20 baht to access the viewpoint… ...
