    ... So a few phone calls later and a short wait he was there to get us, and we managed to get a free ride cause of it! We tried to get an upgrade because of it but I think they had selective hearing and just ignored us. We had to wait to check in so we went down to the bottom three pools which are kind of on three stories that overlook the beach which is amazing!     ... it a draw and I paid her 250 Bht. After all that bliss (!?), we walked along Chaweng beach in search of cocktails and food. The road from the hotel to Chaweng is expensive, hilly, noisy and full of touts. The beach, path (which runs parallel), is flat, has less touts and has plenty of nice hotels offering food and happy hours. We walked along the beach and had dinner and cocktails at one place before hopping to several different places before settling on a place ...

    ... where it's supposed to be all 'happening' however having arrived at the beginning of the low season it was far from crowded. The beach itself is as you imagine, coconut laden palm trees, white sand, clear seas and warm water..... Slightly too warm if your hoping for a cool down.... Poor us...!

    I love koh phangnan!!!!!!!!!! I have actually had the two best nights out of my life! Here is very much a party town, so we have been doing nothing in the day but then partying all night! We arrived by ferry and found our resort. We had to pre book this accommodation when we were on England as we were here for the full moon party and Thai new year, and so each hostel and resort gets packed up and completely full!
