Another cooking course
This is the 3rd cooking course I've done on my holidays. And even though the cooking is similar in Laos, Cambodia and Thailand, there are still differences and I've learned something each time. This course I did with at a restaurant of a famous Thai Chef who did Thai cooking on the BBC. It was really well run. We were brought to his home with a …

So today I realised that tomorrow will be the third Sunday I have spent in Chiang Mai. It does not seem that long at all, …
The Tiger Kingdom
It took 12hrs on the bus from Bangkok to Chiang Mai which was so cold I couldnt get much sleep! After booking our hostel and the Trek we jumped in a taxi and headed for the Tiger Kingdom. The baby tigers were by far the most exspensive ones to see but we knew it would be worth it.
After a short wait we each got a cuddle with the cubs, Im …

Another early wake up and off to Tiger Kingdom, we got there and had to decide what size tiger we wanted to go in with, I chose the smallest which was around £10 for 10 mins and Jen chose the medium and the smallest, which was around £17, sheâs braver then me, haha. They were sooo cute and well worth the money, me and Sophie went in with the babies and they were so tiny, I got to give a 1month year old her bottle, her name was Mi Mi. We got to see four baby tigers all together, the rest of them were very playful with us and we got lots of nice pictures. Jen came in with the babies and with the medium tigers which she said were cute aswell, she said they were pretty sleepy and still so not too scary ï they got lots of cool pictures lying down with them and holding their tails.
After the tigers we wanted a chilled afternoon as we were still pretty tired from the journey the day before, so we took full advantage of the pool in the hostel and spent the rest of the day topping up our tans.
It was just the girls out tonight, think Matt wanted some time away from us, lol, so we decided to go to the night bazzar, a famous market in Chiang Mai. Priorities first though, food, we were all craving an Indian so found a little restaurant, which was a bit random but we went with it, they had the tv and radio on at the same time. Me and Emily had what we thought was a korma but was far from it and Jen and Sophie had a tikka which they said was yummy but very hot. The poppadumâs were really spicy too, so much so that we had to ask for some yoghurt to cool our mouths down.
All fed and watered we flagged a tuk tuk down and set off for the night bazzar, the market was huge but had a lot of the same stalls, we had a walk around and again bought a couple of prezzies, were getting good at this bartering business too, we managed to get things down lower than half price ï
We didnât stay out to late as again we were still tired so went back to get another early night but ended up skyping until pretty late. Finally off to bed ready for the three day trekâ¦â¦
