I would recommend this place for a few nights. It's clean, quiet and they offer a nice selection of food and drink. The employees have been very helpful in arranging transportation and providing input on getting around.

Enjoyed staying here. Makes for a very easy travel experience as they're close to the BRT station and pier 1. Also have helpful staff, information sessions, package tours, restaurant, cafe, and bar. All kinds of rooms for all budgets and travellers

Nice hotel with Thai and international staff that speaks English exceptionally well. They were incredibly helpful in giving advice on what to see in the city and they helped us book bustickets when we wanted to leave Bangkok. Very trustworthy! I can definitely recommend them!

I think coming from such a nice place at such a low price in Siem Reap may have made this place seem extra unsatisfying to me. We booked online the 280 baht a person, backpackers room with bunk beds and a fan and shared bathroom but they were full so they up-grated us to the 450 baht simple room for the same price. The only difference is a private bath and one big bed. The room is so small, the shower head is super high up and sprays all over the bathroom as well as leaks onto the floor. The fan sounds like it's about to explode, the blanket on the bed is super thick for it being around 90 degrees in here so I slept on top of it and got a bunch of bug bites. They advertise that you can get internet in every room, not in ours at least. Seemed you could only get it on the main and 4th floor.
The common area is nice, and they have nice wood tables and chairs outside under a covered porch. But the food is pricey considering what you could get somewhere else. They charge 3 times the price for beer as 7-11 which there are 3 within a 4 block radius. Oh, it's also in the financial district, which we didn't realize until we went to go out at 6pm and everything was closed and the streets were dead.
When leaving they tried to charge us for items we did not take from the mini bar, the reception was very rude. Although the guest services people were very kind and helpful.

The place was a reasonable price, and a far nicer stay that anywhere on Khao San Road. The room was clean and comfortable, with daily cleaning, and the reception was helpful. The breakfast was nice, if a little expensive for a backpackers budget. The only downside was the lack of lift, which was fine for most travellers, but we were on our way home when we stayed, and had a heavy bag each full of souvenirs! Thanks for a great stay though, and for the complementary water bottles at our 5am check-out on the way to the airport.

So ....

Almost the first thing we did on arrival in Bangkok was head to a rooftop bar. When you step out of the lifts 63 floors up the State Tower near the river you descend a series of steps to the Sirocco bar – a glass and chrome circular affair with a standing area that extends out over the edge of the building! The backdrop of Bangkok at dusk …

Greetings from Bangkok! This will sadly be my final installation for Thailand and the South East Asia area. We have spent a lovely two days here. Getting off the night bus, was well, very nice. It was also pretty hilarious to get in at 5:30 am, be walking down the street seeing the partiers still out and kinda going. They looked so rough (and I'...
