Melaka - Day 2...and a surprise

Malaka
... to go to the zoo! Can't go wrong with a zoo for £2. Was a pretty good zoo except for the nellies in chains :(( it closed at 6 and we didn't have transport home but we thought a bus would come... Wr waited an hour no buses and we had if ignored all the taxis and now we want one there arnt any! We finally saw one at about 9.. But there really strict about having 4 foreign passengers in the back, our taxi man said if we were Malaysian it would be fine! But he took us anyway ...
A morning in Melaka,Malaysia
On the 3rd April, the ship moored off Melaka ( also Malacca) in Malaysia This was the only time we had actually booked one of the ship's tours so after being tendered over to the small harbour we were coached for a short distance and our group of 23 were directed to follow a guide who took us walking around the town while telling stories of the historical settlement of the place . Chicken, churches and a (hair) cut
... falling onto the floor before walking into the back section where the sinks were for it all to be washed off.
The haircut was totally impractical in humidity with no straighteners, hair dryers or styling products to hand, but I didn't care. Living out of a bag and moving around so much can make you feel quite un-pretty, and I just wanted to have one day where I felt a little bit more polished and spruced. Worth every penny... not that there were that many pennies to pay of course...
