    ... there were many medicinal herbs. It was very interesting and very hot. Then a group brought me to Southern Brunei, in a city called Seria to distribute flyers. I did not distribute many and I think I was brought along more for me to see the Southernpart of the country..     ... and the Water Village---a village of over 30,000 houses on concrete stilts in the river. Dropped in on the Canadian High Commission to say hello. As indicated, Brunei is a very Muslim country and alcohol is illegal although some Chinese restauranteurs supposedly serve a "special teapot".----which I never managed to locate.

    ... no karaoke bars etc. it is interesting to walk around. We find a massage place that is only for men, so Bevan has a head and shoulder massage. $15 for 30 minutes, I am basically asked to leave. Two shops up there is a massage for ladies only so I also indulge. We grab a nice wonton soup for dinner and then head back by bus to town. All bus rides are $1 regardless how far you go, so a pretty cheap day ...
