... cute guys your missing out on'. She then tried to convince me to come back tomorrow at 8am and run in a charity marathon that was on at the Johannesburg zoo. At this point I could barely walk straight, let alone think about running 22 kms in 8 hours time, and she wasn't much better. Ouch for her. An overnight stay at Ukutula Game Lodge has provided us with the opportunity to hang out with lions. Yesterday we just sat around with the lion and tiger cubs while they played, slept and fed. The tiger cub was Joshua's special friend who kept on coming to play with his arm, his shoes, his knees. There were about 11 cubs ranging from a few weeks old to about 7 weeks. Lindas sister Lorraine then picked me up and took me to Irene Mall for dinner at the Ocean Basket. Plenty people out and about. Shops are open to 9 every night apparently. There are some nteresting statues in the mall including an upturned cow with feet in the air! Dinner was heaven. Mmmmm grilled garlic prawns in shells and calamari served in a fry pan – absolutely delicious!!! ...

The next village belonged to the Xhosa people, to which Nelson Mandela belongs, and who live in the Eastern Cape. Their huts have very low doors so you have to bow as you enter. The walkways through it are all off the ground so as to not disturb the reserve and wherever the trees grow, they grow, and they have to build around everything.
