BEST Overlander Camping spot in Amritsar

The best place for a chilled and relaxed time...with huge gardens and swiming pool. THE spot for Overlanders! Great first or last stop when coming or going to Pakistan1 They are used to overlander vehicles and have fair prices for camping: 200 rp/day + 100rp vehicle. Meals are good but a bit expensive.

Food over priced, no contacts availible after 20;30
expensive wifi, pooor staff, only reason this place is still here is they are using the old girls reputation, otherwise no one would ever come here, but when you are here in a grtoup, you are stuck here, miles from toown

The rooms are frozen in time. Everything is at least 50 years old yet immaculate. It has been lovingly looked after. The hosts are charming, always willing to help. It is a little costly compared to similar standards in Rajasthan. However, it has lovely gardens and a clean swimmimg pool. A very restful stay.

Our experience of Pakistan was mostly limited to hotels and the views from the truck windows. Pakistan did though drum home just how unbalanced the world is both in comparison to our lifestyle in the UK and within its own boarders. Taftan was a town that seemed deserted and deprived, a solemn existence. The further east through Balochistan did not …

      Visa Battles in Delhi
Crossing the Banbasa border one more time… familiar area for me now… I (almost, as it is impossible on Indian roads to close eyes even for a mill-second) blindly drive to Bhooi's farm again. It feels like coming home by now. After another great get together, it is time to start visa stuff in Delhi. Parked at …

Yes that's right I swallowed a fly, perhaps I'll die or get very sick? No none of the above, yah for antibiotics.  We slept most of the day when we got to Amritsar as we had organised a night trip at 4pm. It was really hot so was good to stay in the AC room. The trip that evening was to the India Pakistan border. The border closes at 4 and then ...
