It is a two kilometer stretch of "ladyboy" shows, bars, bangers and mash and sauerkraut restaurants, tourist Thai boxing and cheap shops selling T-shirts with slogans such as "I am available to ****" This is certainly not Rodeo Drive but to its credit I didn't spot any dwarf throwing. ... we had hoped for an upgrade, but none was offered. So we settled nicely into 2621 on the Main (2nd) deck. It is very adequate, located midship (the best place), and has a window, so we are content with our digs. Everything fits easily.

... He started singing Nessun Dorma from Puccini's opera Turandot, and hit every note perfectly, I was amazed ! It was only right at the end, the last few lines (i.e. the part where Pavarotti would have received a standing ovation), where he stopped and told the audience "I simply cannot go that high.. The guy at the hotel warned us that the sea was pretty rough and a bit dangerous and it certainly was.
