KOH SAMUI = Paradise!!! This has definitely been the favourite of the trip so far! Factual Friday - the island was first inhabited 15centuries ago, the previous name was Pulo Cornam. It took 3 taxis, 2 flights, one ride in the back of a random guys pick-up truck, 1 overnight stay in Surat Thani, a ferry to Koh Samui and a haggle for a shared taxi to get us to Chong Mon Beach Koh Samui! But.... After all that, it was well worth it when we turned up at ...

Strangely enough the temperature has gone slightly down and in the evening you need a long sleeve t shirt on the bike. We spoke to Carlos our friend who had just arrived in Jomtien ...

... me 70p as opposed to 58p)! From Koh Tao we island hopped to Koh Phangan. Phangan does not have beautiful beaches or pretty eateries, and it does not exude authentic Thai charm; what is does have however is the full moon party! Once a month Koh Phangan transforms from being a quiet island, where bars close at 8, into a party island where between 10,000 and 30,000 people from all over the world come to drink and dance on the beach from dusk till dawn.
Our night started off well; ...

... off road to
reach a peak in Ko Samui (and an amazing view). You can get about on mopeds (my 'Sweet as bro' post talks about them more!) and again it is the best way to explore the island. Despite having two days there I feel I could have explored more.

The beaches were also gorgeous. It is one long strip along one side of Ko Samui (about a 15 minute walk from Nora Chaweng). The sea wasn't very clear but ...
