Lucky for us, Meg's dad was able to talk with an agent in person at LIH who assured us they wouldn't close until the last flight arrived at LIH for the evening. A quick call with the front desk at the Cliffs at Princeville secured our condo key with security. Our arrival time into Princeville was estimated at midnight, long after the front desk has checked out ...

... from both sides of the road. On one side was the falls and on the other, a view of the valley containing the Wailua River. We also used the stop as an opportunity for one last bathroom break as the lookout had public restrooms nearby. If you decide to stop, bring your own soap, hand sanitizer, or wet wipes because there is no soap in any of the state maintained public restrooms. Fortunately, we had bought some wet wipes the day before and brought them with us.
