... us by about 40 mins and so we are all together at last. Weather good and we just sit around chatting until the evening when we walk down to the town for a meal. Today we drove to Wellington. The weather has been ****** and rainy, and the wind was super fierce. We found a whole bunch of bens childhood candy bars and junk food at a supermarket and he bought a truckload. Earlier we went to the southward car museum. It was huge! It's the most powerful waterfall in New Zealand with an Olympic size swimming pool worth of water flowing every second. It was nice because it was different to a lot of the other waterfalls I've seen recently and a lot more powerful. We headed into town for lunch and one of the guys I'd been speaking to, James, and I went to a small cafe. ...

... first in New Zealand! It's nothing by UK standards, and we are soon moving again, but a sign that the North Island may not be quite as rural as the south. We reach the town of Paekakariki, and drive to the Queen Elizabeth park, where we camp for the night. Kirsty resting to shift her cold whilst I cook a (huge) chilli con carne, half of which gets stored for lunch tomorrow, followed by a mud cake I bought in Wellington to cheer her ...
