Welcome To The Jungle
... in the morning, but fortunately it cleared up so we could remain fairly dry on our way back to the jeep. We saw much of the same wildlife again and it still managed to amaze us all. Our last day in Rurrenabaque was spent walking the town and an awesome hike up a small mountain behind the city. The hike was beautiful and allowed for fantastic photos of the city and the Beni river!!
We hope to fly back to La Paz tomorrow, however; the weather may not permit. The runway in Rurrenabaque is dirt and the rainy season has arrived. Many flights get canceled/delayed, so fingers ...

... it poured down. We sought refuge in the porch of a nearby building and were soon asked to move. Rambo arrived when the rain stopped but he'd forgotten the key for the door to the room where the boat motor was kept so he had to go back and find it. It was fine though in the time he took to get it the skies cleared and the sun came out. Bites and bugs in the jungle
... where our boat was waiting for us. Unfortunately the guide must of thought we were further down the road than we were as we didn't arrive till 10pm that night. The road to guanay was basically just an extension of the worlds most dangerous road, a thin winding road on the edge of a cliff with huge drops to one side, it was even scarier in a large bus as I looked out the window and couldn't see road just a big drop. Adventure down the Amazon
... it was amazing what Carmen our cook coukd create in the middle of nowhere! After tea we had a bit of a halloween party around the fire, all wearing our masks and attempting to scare the crew before collapsing into our superhot tents after 36 long hours of being awake!
