Another night parked by the beach which means opening the curtain to a beautiful sunrise in the morning. Val happily sat on a seat on the promenade with her cuppa tea and watched the people walk / run / cycle / skate by. Val is definitely a people watcher, which is great because ...
Sitges, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands darrenhough74... the shots! One of them had a candy at the bottom and thank god because it tasted awful! We all bought each other rounds and boy did that do us all in! (At least me) Chris bought everyone a “San Goku” shot in honor of our Dragon Ball Z obsession at the moment! We went to a couple other bars around town, steered by our guide Logan, and had a few more shots! There was supposed to be a club afterwards but I was ready for bed. Me and Chris walked back to the hostel and ...
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands ktchris... or are just leaving or something. Iīve found that Iīve told the story of myself and about my travels probably about 50 times at least. Itīs a good way to get the ball rolling and also a good way to find out new info about somewhere you want to go. But with me only staying somewhere for 3 or 4 days, you can only become acquaintances up to a certain level. It is what it is though. How much does this cost? Currently Iīm paying 1 ...
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands travel_lover87... around 2026. Met up with a group of guys my brother put me i touch with. they were living in the city for a while from canada just for skating and art and partying so it was fun to hang out. nightlife... slept in. met up with the guys to see the Bodies Exhibition. pretty crazy stuff. got some good food and hung out at their place. i went back to the hostel to make some more food, an ATM ate my debit card so i converted my back up cash to euros ...
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands -scooter... byloby ze mna kiepsko.
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands bogna... which was very cool and also wondered to the olympic village and park. Our first tourist location in Germany was the olympic park so I figured it was fitting to end with an olympic park :) We have come full circle both starting and ending in olympic towns. Next we took the metro to Park Güell which was actually a bit of a let down. There were a TON of people and it was a very gloomy day which kinda zapped all the color out of the tiles and such. It ...
Barcelona, Spain kbort... the first we tried is the one nearest Placa d'Antoni Lopez, La Succarena, but the others are pretty good too. The sidra is usually served in a slightly gimmicky way, poured from height into the glasses to get the liquid lively. They recommend that you knock it back in one and only "pour" small amounts at a time. It's much closer to an English scrumpy than say to Strongbow and a couple of bottles feels like a lot, even though it is only 6% alcohol by volume. Another ...
Barcelona, Spain and Canary Islands avengerpenguins... I didnīt want to have to find a toilet, and I hadnīt taken my pack off so my shoulders were getting sore. Eventually, this lovely woman came up to me and asked in English, do you need some help. YES, said I. In the end, we walked up to her car, and she and her husband drove me to the hotel - about 5 km away! There is NO metro-train - just metrobus!!!!! Mutter, mutter, mutter! More on the transport issue in Valencia Having a time restriction ...
Valencia, Spain justinepStart of the Spanish leg of our travels! After a 22 hour bus ride from Rome to Barcelona, we were keen to stretch our legs and see some of Spain. However, the Spanish lifestyle got to us, and before we knew it, we were amongst the slowest movers on Las Ramblas (main street of Barcelona - leading straight to the Port). We went to Figueres for a day trip to see the ...
Barcelona, Spain prashanti... a day and keep the rest of the day free to explore. My weekend in London was barely enough for me to explore Central London properly much less to say other parts. I spent half a day in the national gallery (which i highly recommend when you and tarn visit London) and rest of the time was spent eating and roaming around main streets. Which is also why after one month in barca, i have yet to visit the many famous ...
