    ... paid lots and of course, OF COURSE we had NO YEN. We drove around forever and far away looking for parking, but it was abundantly clear that we were unprepared, and would have to come back another day WITH YEN to park nearby, and fully enjoy our day.

    When I left off on Friday, we were being busybodies trying to get stuff done and Terence was functioning on zero sleep yet again. We were supposed to get our car on Friday, but we were only able to purchase the car that day. We were told it would be ready for pick up on Tuesday.     ... Like most structures in Japan, it has burned down and been rebuilt numerous times. The present structure was build from old photographs and historical records in 1992. A few original structures do still exist (see pictures) and the reconstruction was very well done. John and I enjoyed the castle complex and learned more about our temporary home. Enjoy some pictures from our visit!

    ... boys were playing in the water so I decided not to disturb them and try to swim as well. Still, I enjoyed cooling off with my feet in the water.

    In typical "going up north" Okinawa David fashion, I ended the day on the west side of the Island so I had to get in a grand sunset view. I don't love everything about living here in Okinawa, but days like this make up for some of the less desirable aspects!
