We arrived in Byron Bay on the Friday so we could be there for the weekend and got there at around 2/3pmish. We had heard a lot of good things about Byron, mainly that it was a very chilled out, surf/hippy town and it was pretty much just that! As we drove into the centre of town, it was really busy with tourists and we tried to spot a camper-van site so we could pitch up. ... and the site was amazing.Then we went to the ANZAC memorial opposite Hyde Park, then back for dinner near the hotel. Sun we went back to the chapel Kath and John got married at, we attended the wedding way back when, on the Paul Getty Estate .had a cuppa at a place called Newlands Corner where we could view the South Downs just as the sun was going down. A beautiful spot.

Well today we sadly left Queensland, which makes us feel that we are on the downward side of our holiday!
