Lost Luggage.
... but I heard something and the flap at the back of the tuk tuk was open' . He must have heard it slip down the side.
Well thank goodness we hadnt lost it and next time I am going to strap it to his neck !It gave us a bit of exercise anyway and in future we will make sure WE put the luggage in and not the driver !
So after the journey getting to the hotel was great , lovely deluxe room with AC , TV so Martin can watch the cricket and a spotless bathroom , everyone is happy !

India's Exception
... social divide which shadows me tends to give me a loose hand when it comes to rupees. The crazy thing is, when I say loose hand, I mean not arguing over a 25 rupee difference or not sneering when I pay the fisherman who let me pull his rope as a tourist luxury a modest 50. The exchange rate here is 55 rupees to the dollar, so you do the math. These people are clawing at this meagre currency, and they look upon me, a spoiled child of the west with little more than luck ...
Chilling out in the South...
... chef then jumped in the water but couldn't get out quick enough to get it round the tree. Eventually though we stopped and tied up. It became apparent that the something to do with the steering had broke.
We were stopped for about an hour whilst the men climbed under the boat, and lots of kids kept coming up to us to ask for pens, eggs and chocolate. But on the plus side we got a cup of tea and battered cheesy banana things which were odd but weirdly tasty. ...
Dosa-Dog Millionaires
... was like coming home. A great room at XL Homestay within easy walking distance of Dal Roti restaurant (Prawn kati rolls, drool!) and masala chai and chocolate cake at Teapot Cafe. Our 1pm train to Kannur on the 9th October allowed us only enough time to catch the first half of the SA vs Aus rugby on TV. ... malerier med udsnit af historier fra the Ramayana. (Det er fedt, at man nu er begyndt at få styr på guderne og fablerne og historierne). Efter museumsbesøg cyklede vi igennem den jødiske bydel, som havde et utal af butikker med smukke sølvsmykker, halstørklæder og kjoler. Det er ikke nemt med så mange smukke ting, når man har en snært af shop-aholic i sig, så vi minder hinanden om, at det er os selv der skal slæbe rundt på de proppede rygsække. Suk!
