Sihanoukville

We got the ferry and then a bus across to Sihanoukville. Another eventful journey! They said we weren't allowed on the ferry as we didn't have a proper ticket, when we had clearly paid the correct amount of money! They tried charging us again but we stood firm for 40 minutes and argued our case. Eventually the boat had to leave and they let us on! …

After another 5hrs Bus ride we arrived a little bit outside of Sihanoukville. We decided to take a Motorbike-Taxi each because it was cheaper than getting a Tuk-Tuk together. So we sat with our big backpacks without a helmet on the back of a motorbike and he drove us to our hostel. Zanda stayed in another one but after he dropped his luggage he …

We planned to stay at Otres Beach, which is a lot quieter and less developed than the main beach in Sihanoukville. When we arrived back in town from the ferry, we got a on the back of a couple of mopeds and made our way there. The road that led to the beach road was like a mini shanty town so we were each wondering what to expect on the back of our …

We got a minivan here which was meant to have AC and take only an hour an a half, but the AC was broken, it left 45mins late and took an hour more than we were told - got to love Cambodian buses! Ha.

We arrived in this place which we had heard was Cambodia's answer to Magaluf. It lived up to those expectations in terms of …

We only needed a night. It is OK, clean and tidy. A little noisy as there is a bar right next to the rooms open late. Menu is good and good location if you want a spot by the bars and a short walk to the beach.
