    ... one of hard work (laundry still hangs from clotheslines, old hand mowers the norm) and enterprising endeavors, much to the delight of tourists hoping to sample some of their wares. This has been a relaxing and very enjoyable stop, the abundant lightning bugs and a bright red cardinal being the icing on the cake.

    Today was my 53rd birthday and people have been buying me green beer since as long as I can remember. But a bucket list item for me was to be in NYC on St. Paddies day. Today was the day full of fun with our family and good friend Gloria Joseph. It was kind of cold so we watched alot of the parade from her NYC apartement on TV but then hit some Irish pubs to have a Guinness or two. We did a bit of a pub crawl and had a blast.

    ... the best thing about doing the night tour is that it goes into Brooklyn which means a great view back over nighttime Downtown Manhattan.
