... to kick off into action - me being reunited with the bike and getting it to temporary storage at Dakar Motos. For the bikers amongst you reading this and wondering about the whole process here - my advice is simple. Pay Sandra the 200US she charges to help you as it is worth EVERY cent to make it a NON nerve shredding experience. Here goes:<br><br>Maria at the Hotel Carly arranges a taxi for me to the airport at 8.30. I am at Petroblas by 9.15 and Javier has ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina stevekiwibelton... some photos". "Good plan" the others <br>agreed and they made their way out of the restaurant across the road to the cemetary.<br>"Do we have a plan or are we just going to meander around" asked Nadine "well I'd like to find the superman statue and see Evita's shrine" said Ben. "Let's start with superman then" <br>suggested Duncan and they headed off between the shrines in search of superman. Each shrine was more impressive ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina nadineandduncan... been telling me how good it was for ages but when I tried it I decided she was trying to poison me and spat it back out. After a while I decided I liked it though, most people hate it at first and it is defo an acquired taste. Much better with sugar. I´m now hooked. We went on a rainy day up to Recoleta and the famous cemetery there. The 4000 or so tombs and monuments to the rich and famous of Buenos Aires are incredibly ornate and arranged into little streets over a large area ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina warty007... need a visa, as apparently you don´t need them if you´re in Brazil for less than 24 hours (granted - I am not dumb so I should´ve twigged that this could not be correct - how would immigration ensure that people who said they´d be in Brazil for less than 24 hours didn´t stay longer??) Anyway, clearly I didn´t think that at the time, so got a nasty surprise at immigration in SP when they wouldn´t let me through because I didn´t have a ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina becmartin... for the 2005 elections. The very first real election I participated in. any similarities? Another museum that was also a consolation for my disappointment in the history museum was the immigration museum. They did a decent job there. You see items brought by the immigrants, some anecdotes and the various policies the governments had for dealing with the immigrants. The funny part was finding ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina sinbadniz... Jim was all shopped out so the gals went on to several more stores while Jim, ever the genealogist, visited a local cemetery where Evita Perron was buried. Next on our places to see and to be seen were the famous Florida street pedestrian mall and our final stop, for lunch and more shopping, the Pacifico Mall. All good things must come to an end and it was home to Splendor with an hour to spare before departing for Montevideo.
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina oldnavigator... tomorrow night we'll probably hang out in some corner cafes and read (and eavesdrop/people watch)... We're really excited about Sunday when we head to the bohemian part of the city (think Montrose) for their weekend outdoor market... should be fun! Michael brought his laptop and we have free wifi in our room so we'll keep you updated!

Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina journeyer... a backpack that was under the middle of their table, tied to a chair leg. A girl losing the contents of her backpack that was between her legs at an internet cafe. Another girl having her backpack opened while she was walking along and stuff taken out of it. [2] They come up behind you, choke you, wait for you to pass out, then take all your stuff. [3] They spit on you, distract you, then their accomplice takes your stuff.
Buenos Aires, Argentina stevage... that's all cooked up by the tour companies to justify their outrageous price hikes!<br><br>Anyway, there was no point worrying about that now, we just wanted to enjoy the game and hope we had decent seats.<br><br>We found our seats at the top level of the home fans, above the rowdy home terraces which we stood on the other day ...
