It was time to move on again to Yogyakarta, which is a top tourist destination still on Java so there was no ferry involved. The train left at 8.30am and we arrived at the station an hour early to allow time for breakfast. The journey was scheduled to be 7-8 hours so we stocked up on snacks. ... little lobby by a smiley guy in an orange t-shirt who was to be my driver for the day. What a fantastic experience having a driver! Anyway he was not only smiley but also very fast as a driver and we actually made it to Borobudur before 6, which is when the thing opens to all visitors except those staying at some hotel who can go in basically anytime!
