... pretty. I think we accidentally wandered in to a graduation reception, but we managed to escape without causing a scene. As a whole, Galway was spent "strolling". I loved it. It was a much need break from running from toruist attraction to tourist attraction. And the beauty of the countryside was comparable to nothing.
We got back from Galway at about midnight, grabbed some authentic Irish Subway..and headed to bed for the night
... good! We got to Temple Bar with plenty of time (again we had a detour in a souvenir shop) but soon found that no where was selling lunch at 11:30 in the morning. We thought we would wait for a pub to serve lunch, but most places didn't start lunch until 12:30, and since we needed to begin heading back to the airport around 1, we decided to stop at the next restaurant we found.
And we did just that. We walked in, sat down, and were handed ...
... imagined walking in and having the music immediately halt as everyone’s eyes turned to see who the crazy American woman was. I do rather regret skipping Gogarty’s now. One more for the “next time” list. I should also have walked further into Temple Bar and had a look at some of the other pubs on offer there. I didn’t, thinking it would only make me feel worse about not being able to join in the fun. So we turned back and returned to HRC, which delighted the ...
Dublin, Dublin, Ireland jonesinmybones... welcoming or seeing the ship off but Ireland had fewer cuz it has the smallest percentage of Christians in Europe or something like that. Ireland, a country of only 3 million people, has very few Christian organizations so there were still many people thankful for OM uniting some churches and helping launch a new community of Christians. It was cool to see the huge impact that OM had on people and being a small part of it for a few days was awesome. Bekah and I ...
Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland addicted2travel... he was and that is appearantely just the way you normally act in Poland. Fine. Fair play, I wouldn't know I've never been. Prob won't ever really understand that guy, nor him me as it seems. But that's fine and that's just another experience. The rest of the weekend I spent chilling, real nice to just relax and do nothing for a while. Of course some of it over at 10 Chancery Hall as well : ) Then last week. Monday, again Greg asked me out for a pint but I was just too freakin ...
Dublin, Ireland tini1985... that, Sean headed off to catch his flight, so Jana and I spent the rest of the afternoon together. We watched a local busker do some stand-up and then went to the Irish Museum of Modern Art. There were some great exhibits, but we didn't see the majority of the collection because it was closed due to some ceremony going on. Jana and I grabbed some lunch with Bryan, as he's leaving tomorrow, then we went on a bit of an adventure. Last night at the club ...
Dublin, Ireland justenDrimnagh Castle! Is only open Wednesday and Sundays, but I'm not here on Sunday. So I went today! It was cool, It's the only Irish castle to be surrounded by a flooded moat. It also has a very nice garden very fancy and 17th century based. It was very big too. O also went to the Farmleigh House which is a place where they have national and international meetings. And it also very near the castle so I just had to walk. Saved me some money. Remaining - $1,998

... Kells was first on my list. Not having read up on it though, I was completely unprepared for the awesome. The Book of Kells exhibit was interesting, but having taken classes on manuscripts, was a bit repetitive though informational for the normal person I'm sure. Then, dun dun duuunnnn...you enter a room to view...TWO WHOLE PAGES!!! The problem with books being only 2 pages can be displayed at a time. There were also three other beautiful ...
Dublin, Ireland sarahindenmark... Emerald Isle and decided to pop over and check the country out for herself! So while I got close and personal with my leather couch cushions and faux oak flooring, the AmeriCAN was off touring up a storm across Ireland! I caught up with her on her jaunt to the North (a one day Paddywagon tour up to Belfast, then across to Giants Causeway, Derry and back to Dublin) the day after she got back from a tour of the South. BTW, I must just quickly let you in on the voting frenzy that ...
