... and just told the driver to take us where we stayed before. (Annabelles.) Would reccommend it to anyone! This isn't the madness of Boracay, it's just a sleepy little getaway place for few tourists, locals to escape Manila, and a few daytrip boats that come from the mainland for a couple of hours. All checked in, smelly clothes gone, we're off to the beach for our usual antics. Just hope there isnt any ******* jellyfish like last time!!!! ...
trying to convince us of the “very bad current Sir, very bad”
despite the fact that we were already in the calm waters. Fortunately
a smile or laughter gets you a long way in the Philippines.
The second stop at Long
Beach, (I'm assuming a description is unnecessary) provided great
snorkelling with really varied fish in terms of colour and breeds
including friendly orange fish which nibbled on our fingers, sea
slugs, leopard ...
... and waterfalls on the island, drinking mango smoothies and San Miguels, and playing cards on the beach with some new friends! We stayed in a cottage on the beach at Encenada Beach Resort. The waterfalls were so beautiful, the first one we hiked to was set farther back in the forest/jungle (and we passed a little village on the way!), the hike itself was so beautiful and the jump in the waterfall springs at the end was ...
... together as they had to portage over a small sand bar to get into the harbor at Puerto Galera. Some fresh fruit and Gatorade or beer or both and then they were back in the kayaks for the return trip. Only four of the kayaks chose to reverse the trip and do the long route.
