... architecture stretching the length of a few blocks. While in Cambridge I mostly wandered around the cobblestone streets busy with bikes since none of the students are allowed to have cars. The architecture is fabulous and had me grabbing for my camera at every second. All of the schools look like gothic cathedrals with gargoils and pointy spires. They all have huge grassy areas behind them called the backs where students can lay out and have picnics while watching the punting ...

After a night of jet lagged induced sleep we traveled across the Welsh border into a town called Chester. This is in the county of Cheshire in England. Two countries in one day!! NOT BAD!!

Chester is famous for a number of things from horse racing to the wall that the Romans built in AD 79, that surrounds the city.

We had a wonderful day walking around the shops. The weather was a refreshing change from the Florida heat!! A beautiful day to spend outside.

... and miles of sheep, both sheared and woolly. There are also cattle and horses throughout the mountain passes and valleys. Some of the horses are certainly wild mountain ponies - either that or they're very lost and confused small horses - as they were up on some of the steepest areas of the mountains.
