We arrived late and got a tuk tuk pick up from the airport which was great, the beds in the dorms were sturdy and didn't creak which is always a plus, the food is excellent and the staff are extremely accommodating!

Great guesthouse - cool, modern, clean, well run, friendly, good location, good food, good internet connection, good tuk tuk drivers outside, plus monkeys.

Good clean rooms with A/C and TV. Right next to the river and Wat Phnom. Tony Mantana working at the front desk was brilliant. Good food too, but a little overpriced.

A bit far away from the action and breakfast was fairly expensive. Not too many other options around for b'fast meaning we had to eat there.
Staff very friendly and room quite good.

This place is fine for a clean and new hotel in a resonable location. The staff are friendly enough although not as welcoming as I had found elsewhere in Cambodia.

So I should warn you that this blog entry won't contain my requisite snarky witticism or drunken humor. Today we visited a tragic and powerful site in Cambodia that chronicled its genocidal past of the 1970s. So while this entry won't be funny, it will be interesting (I hope).

First off, for those unfamiliar, Cambodia was undergoing a …

      Monday 30th September

An emotional departure as we waved goodbye to Amy and Steph on the balcony on Don Det, Romeo and Juliet style. We were on-board the 8am boat as we ventured on to Cambodia and the girls onto Vientiane. A trek to the bus station, 10am pick up by the bus and a long wait at the Cambodian border we began to realise that …

This blog is dedicated to telling the story of the time of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. I am ashamed to say it is a part of history that I was completely oblivious to prior to my exploration of this beautiful country. Our visits to the genocide museum and killing fields left me feeling emotionally drained and sick to my stomach. I am a person who …

Following a lonely couple of days I was reunited with my friends. They each had a positive time treating people from the floating villages but were happy to be back in the comfort of our ac room. We went with a group of new friends from the hostel to see a circus run by an NGO called PHARE Ponleu Sel Pak. The organisation provides both mainstream …

Freaked out this morning when couldn't go on online banking because Barclays had frozen our accounts. Then popped downstairs waited because had to change rooms again. As we waited we heard some backpackers ask and buy visas for Vietnam, they were only charged $65 each instead of $70. Basically the guy that's not normally on the reception ripped us …
