... plumbing - only chamber pots. What the heck happened to the knowledge and skill the Romans brought with them in those intervening years? The villa is still being dug up, but there was a good part of the mosaic floor brought up, and you could see the layout of the spa, cold baths and tepid - tepidarium - pools. ... most picturesque town I've been to yet, Bradford believe it or not! Then Weston super Mare gave me my first view of the Bristol Channel, and the sea since heading in land from Middlesbrough. ... by soft play, air hockey. Afterwards we went swimming, that was pretty amazing, lazy river, slides, children's area and whirlpools. They would have stayed in all day, we had to tell them a little fib that our colour had been called so that we could get them out.
