... afternoon Nanny, Grandpa and Uncle Mike took Alexander, Lincoln, Rosie, Brody and Marni of to a pantomime (Aladdin) in Lancaster.
Matt and I went for a walk to the Midland hotel, back along the seafront, through Morecambe village. We had and Irish and Bailey's coffee and then braved the icy 1 degree conditions on the way back...to the mayhem of family dinner.
This morning I was very tired and it was difficult to get out of bed, probably due to the lost hour and the fact that the mornings are getting darker the further north we go. So it was about 9.40am before I got out of my pit, and got washed and dressed. We then decided to go and get some exercise, so we went up and did five laps (equivalent to one mile) round the promenade deck in the crisp air.
Then it was back to our cabin to get our Fred Olsen ...

Then I got a glass of fizz to enjoy back in our cabin, before it was time to get ready, dressed in our glad-rags. I wore a gorgeous floor-length black velvet off-the-shoulder gown, with a black lace choker and silver platform shoes, and Trevor looked very smart in his dinner suit with a red bow-tie and cummerbund.

... best view of the cathedral and castle is from the train station, and it is a sight I never, ever tire of. :-)
After 50 minutes we arrived at York, and decided it was a good time to crack open the bottle of chilled cava we’d brought, along with some orange juice, to enjoy a couple of glasses of Buck’s Fizz each, along with the snacks we’d brought to keep us going.
