... walk on and had lots of little tourist shops and the famous Christmas store Kathe Wohlfahrt, but you weren't allowed to take photos inside, (but I did anyway). It was really beautiful
I'll tell you a bit about school, it always begins at 7:50, but we're lucky we only have a 3 min walk. Today was our shortest day because it finished at 12:00, we only had 5 periods (lasting for about 45 mins) but tomorrow we have all 10 periods full, so school ...
... and got back the results of last Fridays maths test and is now studying for another test and is only in year 10 out of 13 years, as school is a year longer in Germany, thank goodness I'm Australian!!) For lunch we had potato soup with sausages in it, which was really yummy. It tasted like pumpkin soup.
Now I'll go and play Wii or something (they have all Australian games and Julia's sister loves "Animal Crossing) or watch some German TV, speak to you later!!
Well, it's been a lonnngggg while.....here is a rundown of what I've been doing since London-
Took a weekend trip to visit girlfriends in Dublin. I love Ireland! Had a great time with my friends and their friends.
Flew from London to Berlin, stayed one night then went to Dresden to meet with my Great Grandmother's Niece's Granddaughter (got that?!?!?!). She was so good to me! Stayed with her in Dresden then went to Zwickau to stay with family and see some places where ...
(61 miles) Today, we rode a little too hard and realized that we probably need to slow down a bit. Its kinda the tortoise and the hare bit. We mostly rode today not a whole lot of sight seeing. Chrissy hit some gravel today and fell of her bike skinning her knee. Also we saw a lady on a bike get hit by a car. I guess it's just one of those days? After our long day we showed up at the less expensive very welcoming canoe/camping place.

... on the path. Not much happened. I thought I was stopping early but the speedo says its 37 miles. Otoh one day was 67 miles and this is definitely too far! I was looking at a swimming hole just beyond the campsite village. It turned out to be unused and a bit yucky. Campsite is the garden of a bar with a shower toilet round the back. I was chatting to a couple of cyclists and they recomended the dumplings. It was very good and a huge meal. So settling up showed the bill for meal, a ...
waltendorf, bavaria, Germany i_could_walk... we stayed at was a farm house in Waldkirchen, not to far from the main city of Passau. On the farm were pigs, chickens, goats, a cat named Sir and the family baked and sold their own bread, killed their own animals for meat, and were fairly self sufficient. The first night there we attended a local theatre play, in which Claudia´s Uncle, Gäehard was the main role. The show was a comedy drama, and in Bavarian German language, which is very different to the German that I learnt ...
Waldkirchen, Germany samuelosborneWe picked Straubing because it is in a pretty part of Bavaria. Our hotel turned out to be at the back of a car hire place a fair way from town - need to pay more attention during the booking I guess. Anyway, the hotel wasn't too bad, though we had to drive into the town. Straubing itself is quite a nice medium ...
Straubing, Germany nlevac... of outward prejudiceness and blatant racism. And not only that, but some of the hypocrisy that goes along with that. Most of the native Germans that I have talked to are extremely prejudice against the Turks that live here, almost hateful. And they have no problem expressing their opinions. I have also seen a lot of skinheads and neo-nazis around town. I mean, that is not unheard of in the States, but it is not nearly as prevalant. And even some of the ...
Regensburg, Germany hannahb... after thinking how easily we could have beat them in extra-time if it wasn't for the silly ref... It made me wonder just how far Australia could have gone otherwise... anyway, wishful thinking... Oh and another funny story from Pete's tales: his shampoo and liquid-soap bottle look the same (both green) - so for the past three days he has been washing with shampoo by accident. Very amusing for me, not so much for rashy, dry Pete :) Ahhh... this boy is so much fun to have along...
