... as much as we could......that was the plan. Next visit was the Church of St Stephen. I'm a bit over churches, they all end up looking the same. I must say our tour of the Opera House was very interesting. Ornately decorated.....more gold! We saw the Emperors Opera Box. Sorry for the late entries - having some wifi problems.

Monday 25 Aug 14 - Travelling day. A beautiful day to be flying. Took a water taxi to the airport - no problems this time with the driver. It is an easy transfer from the dock to the airport, under cover with luggage trolleys available and only about 10 minutes walking

... for the Kaiser way back when. There was a huge queue outside, but we pushed forth and found a table for four at the back near the kitchen. That was when we realised that the queue was tourists coming in to take a photo then leaving! Not wanting to be greedy, as we were going out for dinner, we shared an Apfelstrudel. Much chat was had, mostly in Wienerisch and in no time at all it was time for us to go to our next engagement. Dinner ...

      A merry Austrian Christmas

... Fingers crossed I've learnt my lesson this time! Trying a couple of other much milder flavours, I made a quick exit before being roped into trying more. We enjoyed a fantastic Christmas dinner at a local winery in our best Christmas outfits, and while it wasn't very difficult, came up trumps on our previous nights meal! Following dinner a couple of us took the opportunity to indulge in a bit of culture and took ourselves off to Schonbruun palace (was the ...
