      ... and into the mountains and jungles of Western Belize. The buses are old American Bluebird school buses and they stop frequently picking up and letting off people. We arrived about 3 pm and it is beautiful here. We are staying at Hotel Tia Maria for $40 per night and it is great! Andre is thrilled about the TV and everything on it being in English. That won't last for long though – the TV or the English. More about San Ignacio in the next installment.

      ... got around by walking with their own 2 feet, or catching a ride on a golf cart taxi. I generally don't like places overrun with tourists, and luckily for me, Caye Caulker didn't have a lot of tourists.
