... decided to go and have a look at the Opera House a bit closer up. I haven't realised that this was actually more than one structure so this was good to look around, and the exterior is made up of what looks like tiny tiles to give the shell effect. we had really hoped to go to the botanical gardens but there wasn't much point since the rain was coming in now so we went for ice cream and coffee on Circular Quay.

Not too sure why they need them there, to watch people walk along a footpath unless it's something to ...

... Sunday is $2.50 day , which means that you can ride public transportation all for the low price of $2.50! We walk a couple blocks to the underground station and take the train down to Central Quay so that we can catch the ferry to Bondi Bay. The trains are all double deckers.. clean and comfortable..what a great system. Ten minutes later we exit the Central Quay (pronounced K), and walk over to the ferry. ...

... We found a spot on the beach and literally didn't move for hours. The sun was intense, but I was never hot, since there was an amazing ocean breeze. There were many people surfing, so I was easily entertained for the rest of the day. We went and got fish and chips for lunch and had a picnic right next to the beach. I wanted to go surfing but the water is cold. Tomorrow is supposed to be a lot warmer so I hope to surf tomorrow, since today I know ...
