... some local kids came to us and we danced like we were 11. After almost getting our car stuck in the sand, and flashes of spending the night there, we headed on the long drive back to our place. With this luxury, everything on the boat was to get washed with fresh water and they even provided a transformer to convert 220 volts to 110 volts so we could plug the boat in. ... thought the cyclone that hasn’t hit Samoa for several decades would strike today and apparently it was going to before it moved away. The cyclone was called Cyclone Cyril and managed to bypass Samoa however its effects were still felt by us.
