Yes I went snorkelling...no coral to speak of but quite a few fish...mostly black and blue and spotted brown...but was lovely to cool off! Lunch was then served followed by wine and Mai Tai's.....they really looked after us! We boarded ship at 7:30am and were back in port at ...

We got pretty wet and windswept as you'll see from the photos but we're really glad that we got to see it, thanks to Cherie and Andrew giving up their holy day of rest for us. As our final full day dawned, we couldn't believe it. It wasn't raining and the sun was shining. Cherie and the children joined us for breakfast and then with swimwear and towels we set off to explore the North Shore. Firstly, after parking ...

... and the audio tour through the cell blocks which is narrated by both prison guards and inmates was brilliant. SanFran had been on Mat's must-see list for a long time and he (and the rest of us) were not disappointed, it is a fabulous city. We finished off our time by riding the buses around the city with a stop in Haight-Ashbury where the free-love revolution began in the 60s so that was an interesting conversation to have with the girls - burning ...
