It's ok to haggle here as we have been told that here are 2 rates used, local rate and tourist rate which is on average a third higher, so you are expected to haggle, having said that some people will walk away for the sake of a dollar, we don't do that when they get to their lowest price we accept that. ... in a prayer position and bowed their heads. They immediately asked if we were checking in, then collected our bags and put them aside. A man led us upstairs to the reception desk.  The reception area was even more impressive, a huge room and outside you could see couches on little islands on the ponds, as well as a pretty speccy looking pool. We checked in and they offered us a new years eve pack at the restaurant for 8,000 baht each... We worked out this would be over $300 ...
