    ... Samnang wanted to take me to the Palin border today, to look around.

    I made the trip from Hoi An, Vietnam (20 hours on bus), back to Battambang. I came this route on my way back to Thailand. It gives me a chance to say goodbye to my Cambodian friends, and is the easiest way for me to cross back into Thailand.

    We woke up this morning to the train lady calling up and down the isles "orange juice". Dozing in and out of sleep, our tour guide Emmo woke us all up yelling out telling us we had 5 minutes to get ready before we had to get off the train. We quickly packed up everything, grabbed our bags and then had to hop off the train at the station.     ... hotel, well his version of cheap and ours were totally different, he dropped us off at a beautiful 5 star hotel which was about £50 a night, as much as we would have loved to stay there it just wasn’t in our budget so had to walk around town to find somewhere else. We found a nice hotel for much less so got settled there and had a nap as we were all very tired from the long journey.
