Beachside chiling

A travel blog entry by whereshallwego

Livingston was a funky
little town, but there was little happening to keep us there. The
weather wasn’t the greatest. There was no beach despite being on the
coast. A great place to chill for sure but we figured why not head
further south and get some decent beaches.

Up at 6am to catch the 7am boat to Belize. Punta Gorda. Takes us just 1 hour so we are there at 8am. Customs really simple we did pay $10us in Guatemala as we handed in our custom form. Bus leaves at 10am to Placencia. We have breakfast at the Snack Shack. It seemed very popular with the locals. We ordered Giant breakfast burritos. Very similar to …

Day 24

We moved from the four bed dorm to another guesthouse with private rooms for the same price. First off it seemed really nice and Michael, Robyn and Mark were really pleased to find some new dog friends. I wasn't quite so pleased with the two bull mastiffs! If you don't like Lydia's Guesthouse and its charming host then you are going to find it hard to fit in to Placencia. It's reasonably priced, comfortable, offers hot showers, a shared kitchen amd wifi. And it's a stone's throw from the beach. A great place to kick back and slot into the easy going pace of this homely Caribbean village.
