    ... scattered throughout the grounds, sharing space with all manner of flowering plants and shrubs, dozens of statues, with an octagonal fountain at the center. According to the palazzo's brochure, this garden was used as a filming location for the 1996 film Portrait of a Lady, with Nicole Kidman and John Malkovich. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time in this idyllic setting, despite the cloudy skies and occasional rain drops.

    Friday 12th~ We drove back up to the thermal hot springs of Montecatini & drank the healing waters.
