... as members of the band taking part in the Maori Cultural demonstration last night, Nigel had a private Poi lesson today. Please see the video...his head is okay...

We are 7 out of 8 concerts done in China - one tomorrow night and then it's South Korea on Sunday.

6:00am start again...bus - plane - bus - hotel - rehearsal - food - concert - hotel - sleep - Korea!!!

We were picked up at the station by the Guangzhou Opera House Coach – clearly we’re important ;) – and arrived at the fabulous Donlord Hotel where we will spend 2 nights. Most
of the band headed out exploring. We haven’t had many opportunities to shop and sightsee so this was a great opportunity to do so.

While today is a day off for the band, it’s not the case for the Maori group. ...

Other notes worth mentioning, an observation I’ve made is
the class itself is not so bad. The actual act of teaching is quite frankly
easy. The hardest part I find is preparation. Granted, good preparation goes a
long way. But coming up with games and songs to fill class time can get
tiresome. In all, a good lesson to come away with.

... how to play China’s national sport, dice. I haven't the skill, but watching others gamble what sums of money they did have was entertaining enough. Another note, aside from the stray cats everywhere, I could not believe how cheap the beer was. For about 10 liters of beer, I think the total tab cam to 100 RMB, so about $15 USD. Certainly an investment worth having a long position.
