From Hatchett Bay we positioned ourselves at Egg Island to do the jump across a section of the Atlantic Ocean to reach the Abacos. We waited for a good day, and then exited the bay through the man made cut. It still doesn't look 90 feet wide...those rocks look like they are CLOSE!  But we made it out very easily, and had a good sail up to Current Cut, ...

... he spent the day in his engine well, we had him over for a big spaghetti dinner. Today, Tony hoisted him up his mast so that he could check for any damage - which thankfully he thinks is very minimal. Since the strike took out his auto helm, he gave Tony all of his spare parts for it (since it's the same one we have).

We are now watching weather in hopes for a window to cross to the Abacos.

... direct us to our destination and they cheerfully not only described which side of the dock had gas and which side was for tie up... But more importantly, they pointed to each. We ambled ( that's a nautical term, I think) over to the gas pump and on our first try, pulled into perfect position for refueling. Our confidence diminished almost immediately, when the operator on the dock handed the gas pump nozzle to Captain Jim and after looking around our craft a couple times, ...

... Rowan-Beauregard, to say hello to the lady who owns our house. But, being Saturday, no one was in the office, so perhaps we'll have an opportunity to meet her later. Our circuit nearly completed, we spotted the Shipyard, an open air restaurant with panoramic views of the water. The Shipyard has a limited menu but all were fresh catches of the day.
