Today (Saturday) we're having a day off and spending it at the Speke Resort in Kampala. It's a very smart place on the shores of Lake Victoria and has a large swimming pool.
Juliet was about to apply her sun cream when we noticed that what she thought was sun cream was actually Spanish hairspray. She had been using it all day yesterday at Sanga and wondered why it had not been very effective!

... a big thyroid cyst which probably needs surgery. The doctors also saw a woman whose hand had been badly cut by her violent husband and a woman who had been serially raped and who was psychotic and suicidal. Pastor Geoffrey has arranged for her to have a mental health assessment on Tuesday. Amazingly the tram has treated over 300 people!! Altogether the team treated 230 people today, a record for this trip. Everyone is tired hot and happy! As I write this we're ...

... was going to be positive. Tom met his first ungrateful Ugandan today. He has done a great job doing eye tests and fixing people up with glasses from his very limited stock. A lady was unhappy with the glasses he gave her and became awkward. Tom thinks she came from a privileged background and clearly expected more than he could deliver. We saw 110 patients today and everybody who wanted to be seen was seen. Today Joe and I have been doing interviews with Pastor Geoffrey, ...

... Matt and I tried out the Irish Coffees....v. good.

Marni and Brody were in good form today. There was an elderly couple sitting behind us waiting to be picked up by their driver who was stuck in the snow. Marni and Brody entertained them for most of our lunch. It was very cute and it definitely made the couples wait more enjoyable.

After our lazy lunch we walked back and the kids walked back along the wall again.
