    Past Sacramento we began the gentle ascent up into the Sierra Nevada mountains. Shortly after we past Auburn we climbed to 1,000 ft above sea level. The scenery suddenly changed from the parched Central Valley to a seemingly endless expanse of alpine forests.     ... I'm not gonna lie- I fell on my butt several times but mainly because I as too scared of going too fast and hitting other people on the slopes (I'm not too great at turning just yet!) I got to the bottom and of course... Went straight back up- 7 times!! Haha Paul didn't go again but he was happy to watch me and some of the other guys go back for more!
