... Marianne again. At 2.30 we jumped on the train for Beaune, back into France. Our B&B was comfy and central, just a short walk to the centre. Beaune is a pretty, walled town with lovely old houses and winding streets. Breakfast in our private courtyard, shaded by the vines and fig tree. Not bad. Fresh croissants, coffee and quiche lardon from the boulangerie nearby. Wandered around Beaune, visited some of the wine cellars an tasted some good wine. Splashed out on a bottle of Gevrey-Chambertin 2011, beautiful.
