Mitch: Travel day today, though it was not a particularly arduous day. We had our final breakfast in provence, which was tasty as usual, and set off at about 9.30 heading for Dijon. We had left 2 nights free to see how/where we would go in our return to paris and did a bit of research in the past couple of days. We came up with Dijon based on 2 main factors. The first activity was a treasure hunt. When we went on the treasure hunt we went into the garden. The garden had stairs down to the juggling and the sword fighting but we did not go down the stairs. We went ito the castle and saw the guns and the well where they got the water from. Last of wall we went down the stairs. When we went down the stairs we went to the Juggling.

On our way back to Switzerland, we stayed in the capital of Burgundy, the city of Beaune. We rode about 495 kms in total this day, with mostly highway riding.
We went into the city center for a glass of wine and dinner. The centre is quite interesting, with many wine bars and restaurants.
The wine we had was good, but we needed more time to really get an appreciation of the local wines.

Interesting, we saw a boat on the the river called Le Boat, as the name is in English (French word would be Bateau).
After a short break we headed off to Clermon-Ferrand.

There were even had two sites with picnic tables, perfect for campers like us without a car and camping furniture. The campsite also had as it turned out, a very nice bar and restaurant.
