... we've had in Brittany and then proceeded to walk to the old town. The guide books had led us to believe that there were very few half timbered houses left following the major fire of 1720 but were we very pleasantly surprised at what we saw whilst wandering around.

... and crooked little houses deep in the narrow valley below the walled city, and the rain has returned. We find our green front door and debate whether to enter early. But the rain eases so we leave the car and decide to walk around the block to see what's here. We cross a tiny one lane bridge over the river Rance, and opposite is a cobbled lane rising between ancient houses, leaning down the hill and in toward each other. It pulls me in. Where does it go?

OK dont panic I have found some electric in the bar Cafe Babylone a very nice place indeed right next to what looks like a cathedral I was in such a rush for the loo Im not sure.

... more next to the pictures rather than here, it will make more sense then. We visited a place that grows and processes oysters. The lecture from the owner was really interesting, but the tasting after, yuk. I wonder if I'll ever develop a taste for oysters. ... as I've been told that the water is a tad cool. The view from the apartment is beautiful, I could happily sit here with a cuppa and just take it in. Nellie and Jean Paul came over and we went for a brief walk to get pizza. Dinner at the appartment with cheese and sausage that Nellie and Jean Paul brought. I loved the cheese, the sausage tasted good but it was quite tough to eat. We then had a cake that is from Brittany, but I can't remember the name. Sleep time now, it's late. ...
