    ... to get an autograph, but it was great that he had come out and was less than 3 metres away. The pit lane was a squeeze and not much fun for the vertically challenged, but nonetheless we also saw Valteri Bottas, Felipe Massa and Jean-Eric Verne walk by. Then we walked the wrong way round the track, passed Rascasse, swimming pool, and through the tunnel. Amazing!     ... a stunning sunset as well. Once we had figured out what to do the next day with trains and busses we headed to the supermarket to pick up dinner for the next few nights and breakfasts as well.     ... trip across the water was brief and allowed us time to munch on some baguettes for lunch. We were greeted in the Port of St Tropez by a dozen super yachts (these things were massive) plus a number of Ferraris and Lamborghinis parked alongside the port.     Walked up the Promenade des Anglais through the Le Tour merchandising stalls. At this stage only one official merchandising stand. Di and I went into "La chaise bleue" - lovely souvenir shop. Bought 2 tea towels, 2 hand towels, macaron soap and Le Negresco pencil. Then Di and I went to the Fragonard shop.
