As I am no longer cycling I am getting the bus between locations saving me some time - with this time I have chosen to go back to CESHE to volunteer before I head home. I will be spending 10 more days at the school at the end of the month and I cannot wait to get back to those beautiful kids! I am currently in Vang Vieng relaxing, walking and enjoying ...

... malaria tablets), we grabbed some dinner and headed off for an early night ready for tubing tomorrow. The next morning we hired some bicycles and cycled a very bumpy 7 km to the Blue Lagoon. None of us had swim stuff but the sun was pounding so we all jumped in the clear blue water. It was a really cool place, beautiful scenery and they had swings across the lake so we all had a go at being Tarzan and Jane! We were not up for cycling back and so hopped on some tuk tuks to get back to ...

... other parts of Laos I have visited. Whilst Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng, in their different ways, are tourist towns, Vientiane is a working capital. There are government ministries with large, official signs, vast embassy complexes and the impressive Presidential Palace. There are luxury hotels, glass-fronted shops and cafes (the first I have seen in Laos) and run-down colonial buildings. There is traffic! There are more cars here than I have seen in my 2 ...
