This place is not only good value, the manager is extremely friendly and helpful. The place is kept immaculately clean and scooters are rented to guests at a fair rate. I stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed very much!!

Finally arriving in Lanta early evening on the 23rd December we were all longing to see the beach that we had been so desperate to relax on so the first thing we did was head straight to a restaurant opposite our hotel for some food. The restaurant was lovely, beanie style cushions, blankets and little wooden tables with a small candle in the …

    Hangovers vs Crook gut

A travel blog entry by dandrummond on Apr 23, 2014

Woke feeling very sick. Was it a hangover? Probably. Got up late (10) and realised we missed the boat to the islands so Nick, Jess, Sophi and I went had breaky at a little hole in the wall. I had a Tom Yum soup and about 2 mins later was sick all over the place. Then about 2 min after that the other end. Hmmm, starting to think it's not hangover, it's still being crook from last night. After breaky we headed to the beach to chill out. Again I was sick and had toilet issues. As ...

... away yet! Every time we asked him if the given snake was venomous he replied as follows: „Cobra…yes, one hour.", „King cobra….yes, 40 minutes.“ He knew perfectly how much time he had left before the venom starts to paralyze his nervous system. That was sort of creepy :)

During the show he just played with three cobras at the same time. They were closely watching all of his moves and were ready to attack him in any moment. He advised us not ...

... seen this before in Puerto Rico, but this blew that away. Every movement in the water was a light show of glowing algae. It was spectacular. With the stars out, no moon, and neon radiant water following our every move, I have to say we really rounded out this part of the trip perfectly.

Our final day with Ryan and Nina was spent on the beach before saying our goodbyes. Sad to see them go, we made our way up the coast to spend another week in Thailand, then onward to ...

... exploring I ended up at Old Town a traditional, tranquil town. Tried buying some presents, couldn't make my mind up whether dad would really suit a silk embroided gypsy shirt... Headed back to the resort to see how Jonny was, on my way bumped into a couple elephants. Watched the final sunset of Thailand from Diamond Cliff View Bar, set out on a high cliff, with a view over the Andaman sea and the surrounding islands, was a great way to end our Thailand ...
