... around krabi Islands. It was cheaper and more private than the main trips. However the boat we were on was the oldest long boat in Thailand and our boat man was a right little bugger. He was un friendly and tried to skip islands out on the tour which really annoyed the Aussies and us! Sadly have to say that the Islands were not very nice and had to pay extra just to get off the boat. Harriet feared for her life as the boat man told her there was ...

27.5.2014 Patong Beach (Phuket), Thailand Km: 62202 Problems with the police / Probleme mit der Polizei

I am a little surprised when I walk in the evening in Patong Beach in the party street around. I see more Go-Go bars and tourists in Pattaya. We also feel more the curfew than in Kao Lak. Today was an early start as we headed to Ao Po Pier in the north of the island. This is the gateway to Phang Na National Park, a series of limestone islands that jut out of the sea. Given the haze/mist that tends to surround them, it can create a rather surreal landscape.
After 30 minutes on the boat, the boys were able to board sea canoes and travel though a cave to a hidden lagoon in the centre of the ...

... and squirming and at one stage Ti had no fish on her feet as she was moving too much and they would swim off. It was an entertaining 10 minutes for Brad and I! At the turn of a corner we found ourselves in a lane lined with bars, loud music, bright lights and girls pole dancing on top of the bars. Jack couldn't believe his eyes and was again attracting the attention of the Thai girls - he was loving it! We ended up walking for an hour or so and discovered a whole area ...
