... for a minibus to our hotel wasn't going to happen, we just sat there angry and sulking because we thought we had been scammed. Scott was moaning all night on and off, I just put my head phones in because it was winding me up even more and there was nothing we could do about any of it. I am a little surprised when I walk in the evening in Patong Beach in the party street around. I see more Go-Go bars and tourists in Pattaya. We also feel more the curfew than in Kao Lak. The police is not as strict as in Bangkok, but the go-go bars close at 22:00! But they check the helmet law better and stop me because ...

... couples wanting to keep to themselves. We rented a scooter to explore the island and the sights were beautiful the water was an aqua blue, the mountains were covered with dense forest the only thing missing was a sandy beach. One night Alan ate rock lobster and his lips swelled up rather impressively. Not an anaphylactic reaction but it meant a crazy motorcycle ride on the back of the restaurant owners bike to the local 'clinic' to pick up some meds. Both oral and an ...
