... about 20 or so minutes just taking in this beauty I decided I was
going to stay here for the night and so went in search of a hotel.
This search for a hotel proved to be a hard job as there was simply nothing
open. Only after a few trips through the town did I find a small place that

It was such an amazing day. I had always ...

Got back to our hotel a little after 9pm, ordered a bottle of champagne and a pizza from the room service menu and chatted about the day. Awesome day! We love ...

... not that there's anything wrong with that). But Ludwig dreamed of living in a "real" medieval castle, so when he became king, he began building Neuschwanstein. Anyone who knows what "real" medieval castles looked like knows that Ludwig missed a few history lessons- and the project bankrupted him along the way. He was on track to bankrupt the entire Bavarian kingdom as well, until his court conveniently decided to declare him "insane," ...

Ludwig the Loco in the Land of Rococo

... the aforementioned bankruptcy, the castle is beautiful, and is perhaps the best-preserved of all of Ludwig's castles since he lived there only 10 days in total.
Leaving the castle to head back to the mainland, we approached the two boat docks, one larger than the other. Gary and I were heading the ladies to the smaller dock at which a sign (in German) gave the departure time and destination, but some of the crew did not trust our sign-reading ...
