... have been upended by Thanksgiving. I was going back down state to San Antonio and then travelling up through El Paso and Arizona to California...but pretty much everything is closed up for the holidays the next few days. I don't much fancy being stuck in the desert with only a 24 hour McDonald's for sustenance, so I'm heading up to LA now to spend it with a friend...from there, I'll plan some more travelling. ... It's a beautiful building inside and out.

Later in the day we took the dogs to Doghouse Drinkery & Dog Park.The dogs got to run around and we had a beer. The place is well supervised by the owner and her staff. And the cost is minimal. What a concept!

A carryout pizza hit the spot that night. Mike and Staci's friends stopped by that evening and we visited with them.

Bright and early we left lovely New Orleans on our second

... if you think you're too cool for everything then you won't like it, but if you like being entertained you will! There were some great surprises, and we really enjoyed ourselves. We did make sure to book the reserved seats, and I'd do it that way again; didn't have to get there early or fight for a spot, just walked right in and got great seats.
