We had a crazy packed day today and we just got back to the hotel to drop our car off and catch a taxi back into town. Turns out, Wednesday night is the main music night of the week with traditional local music in all of the pubs! So, we're taxiing it to the pubs so we can drink and listen to music all night. Today we did all the touristy things you can do in Kilkenny. It made for a busy fun day!
First stop the Castle. Fairly newly restored, but well done. They are still working on it. Then on to the art design center where local artists can sell their things. I really wanted to purchase a ton, so many beautiful local things. I think this was my favorite thing in Kilkenny, to see all the talented artists.

Overall we have loved Ireland and could easily have spent more time here. The only place we visited which held no appeal whatsoever was Limerick. Everywhere else was worthy of more time. The roads are exceptionally good, the people friendly, the food great, and the sights are unique and gorgeous.
To quote Timmy...."every time you turn a corner....there is a sight even more amazing than the last". And this was today...not our first day!
... time in a hostel for at least half of us. I was actually very pleased with the hostel; it had a very nice mixture of old and modern and it seemed very hygienic. However, being the neurotic person I am, I covered every inch of my body when I went to bed and made sure to cover the pillow with my sweater so as not to make contact with the sheets and covers at any point during the night!

... sitting watching and Albert had the music playing out of his car, so I was really enjoying myself, getting all the bricks up and dancing and singing away to cheesy pop. Eventually the girls turned up and forced everyone to take a break and come up and join them in the hay loft for refreshments. Was pleasantly surprised to be offered a platter of sandwiches, chocolate crispy cake and a hot toddy! Thought it was only around ...
