... to it being low season the roads were all very empty. The following day we had a busy day planned: a walk to the waterfall, a hike through the national park and Lanta Old Town. After getting a bit lost (on an island that only had 4 roads, only I would still manage to take a wrong turn) we made it to the waterfall. We got what we asked for: we saw almost no other tourists. We also could barely see the trail either, which twisted through streams and ...

We had paid extra to go 1st class with our own cabin and were pretty glad we had! Still, we were comfortable enough watching Bangkok go by out the window until it got dark and then an attendant came and made up our beds. The seat ended up as bunk beds and they gave us sheets, pillows with cases and a blanket each (thank goodness). It was ...

... pig must have been happy when he died' as it had a sort of smile on its face. There is a little town of Saladan near by so we got to have a peek at it. There are notices all around for Thai Boxing matches, snake shows, massage parlors and dive centers. It is very tourist centric as they build up the island for the ever growing number of tourists here. With some food gathered we were able to make a good dinner at home and have a dip in the ...
